UKHRUL, October 4, 2026: Ukhrul Public School, Viewland, Ukhrul, has brought laurels to the district by securing the first position in the State-Level Quiz Competition organised in connection with the 72nd Wildlife Week.
The competition was held on October 3, 2026, and was organised by the Forest and Wildlife Department, Government of Manipur, as part of the annual observance aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of wildlife conservation and biodiversity.
Representing Ukhrul Public School, Khayangam Horam of Class X and Immerson Vashum of Class IX emerged victorious, demonstrating impressive knowledge and teamwork throughout the competition.
The achievement has been widely appreciated by the school, which extended its heartfelt congratulations to the two students for their outstanding performance and for bringing recognition to Ukhrul Public School at the state level.
The victory also highlights the importance of encouraging young students to develop an interest in wildlife, biodiversity and environmental conservation. Such competitions provide students with a platform to expand their knowledge while fostering a deeper understanding of the need to protect Manipur’s rich natural heritage.
