July 15, 2026: The Chakhesang Region of the NSCN/GPRN has reaffirmed its support and confidence in the organisation’s collective leadership and reiterated its commitment to the Framework Agreement, Naga National Flag, Yehzabo and the integration of all Naga areas.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Chakhesang Region said the declaration adopted during its meeting on July 15, 2025, remains valid, binding and representative of the collective will of the region.
The declaration had extended support to NSCN/GPRN President Eno Q. Tuccu, Vice-President Tongmeth Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Eno Th. Muivah and Deputy Ato Kilonser V.S. Atem.
The region maintained that unity, mutual trust and collective responsibility were indispensable for advancing the aspirations of the Naga people. It said it continued to stand firmly behind the Framework Agreement and remained committed to safeguarding the historical and political rights of the Nagas.
The Chakhesang Region also unequivocally reaffirmed its support for the Framework Agreement, the Naga National Flag, the Yehzabo or Constitution, and the cause of Naga integration.
According to the statement, these principles represent the collective aspirations and identity of the Naga people and would continue to guide the movement towards what it described as an honourable and inclusive political solution.
The region appealed to national workers, leaders and the Naga public to rise above individual differences and work together in a spirit of reconciliation, understanding and national unity.
“At this crucial juncture in Naga history, collective commitment and unwavering dedication to the common cause are essential for securing a future that honours the sacrifices and aspirations of our people,” the release stated.
