Ukhrul: Bringing pride and recognition to Ukhrul district and the Tangkhul community, Mr. Soyochan Lungharwo, son of Kanmi Lungharwo and Shanthing Lungharwo of Lunghar Village, has secured an impressive four-medal tally at the ICN National Championship 2026, held in Goa from October 26 to November 1.
Competing in multiple categories, Soyochan secured a Bronze Medal in Men’s Physique First Timer, along with a 5th-place finish in Men’s Classic Physique First Timer, Classic Physique and Men’s Fitness First Timer.
Representing Ukhrul district at the national-level championship, his achievement marks a significant milestone in his fitness and bodybuilding journey. He is reportedly the first Tangkhul athlete to represent the community at the championship and secure a four-medal tally.
Behind his achievement is the dedicated guidance and training of his younger brother, Mr. Wungreithei Lungharwo, under whose strict supervision he has been preparing for competitions.
Presently working as a Fitness Trainer at SHIMRAY FITNESS, Ukhrul, Soyochan’s accomplishment reflects his dedication, discipline and commitment to the sport.
His achievement is expected to inspire aspiring athletes and fitness enthusiasts from Ukhrul and beyond to pursue their sporting ambitions and aim for greater recognition at national-level competitions.
