Ukhrul, November 4, 2026: The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), in collaboration with Tangkhul frontal organisations and under the aegis of the United Naga Council (UNC), has called for a mass People’s Rally to be held simultaneously at the headquarters of Ukhrul and Kamjong districts on November 5, 2026, demanding urgent intervention from the Government of India (GoI) to address the prevailing political crisis in Manipur.
According to the notice issued by TNL Secretary Thanreingam Muivah on November 2, the rally will press for three major demands: resolution of the political crisis in Manipur, an end to what the organisers describe as a proxy war in the state, and the removal of Assam Rifles from Naga areas.
The rally is also intended to draw the attention of the Government of India to the prevailing situation in Manipur, particularly the concerns surrounding the security and protection of Naga areas.
The TNL notice has appealed to every section of society, irrespective of age, gender, profession or social background, to come forward and participate in the rally in a united manner, demonstrating collective solidarity and commitment to the cause.
The rally will commence simultaneously at both district headquarters at 10:00 AM on November 5, 2026.
The notice was issued by Thanreingam Muivah, Secretary, Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL).
