Ukhrul, September 6, 2026: The Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) for 44-Ukhrul (ST) Assembly Constituency and 45-Chingai (ST) Assembly Constituency have issued notices for the final publication of the electoral rolls following the revision process with July 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.
The notices, issued on September 6, stated that the list of amendments to the Draft Electoral Rolls for both constituencies has been prepared in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
For 44-Ukhrul (ST) AC, the Electoral Registration Officer, Polly Makan, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul, said copies of the electoral roll along with the list of amendments have been published and will be available for inspection at the office of the ERO and the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) during office hours.
Similarly, for 45-Chingai (ST) AC, the Electoral Registration Officer, P Duna Duo, MCS, said the amended electoral roll has been prepared and published for public inspection at the concerned office.
The notices have also been circulated to the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur; District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, Ukhrul; AEROs; Booth Level Officers and Supervisors; political parties functioning in Ukhrul district; and concerned media organisations for wide publicity.
The final publication notices are scheduled for one-day publication on September 7, 2026.
Electors in the two constituencies can inspect the published rolls and amendments at the designated election offices during office hours.
