The proposed three-day nationwide bank strike, scheduled to begin today, September 28, has been deferred following an agreement between the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA).
The AIBEA confirmed the decision, stating that the strike has been postponed after the two sides reached an agreement on the issues that had prompted the proposed industrial action.
The development means that the planned three-day strike will not commence as scheduled from September 28. Further details regarding the agreement and the revised course of action are expected to be communicated by the concerned organisations.
