Travellers facing emergencies, road accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or accommodation issues urged to contact dedicated helpline numbers
UKHRUL, August 6: In response to the growing challenges faced by commuters travelling through the alternative routes in Manipur’s hill districts, the Working Committee (WC) of the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has issued a travel advisory and announced a 24/7 emergency helpline service for travellers passing through Ukhrul and Kamjong districts.
According to the advisory issued on Thursday, commuters from different parts of Manipur, the North Eastern states, and other parts of the country have been experiencing increased inconveniences while travelling through alternative routes within the jurisdiction of Ukhrul and Kamjong, particularly during the ongoing conflict in the hills and the monsoon season.
To ensure the safety and welfare of travellers, the TNL Working Committee has designated two emergency helpline numbers that will remain operational round the clock.
Travellers requiring assistance due to loss of direction, medical emergencies, vehicular breakdowns, road accidents, or the need for food and accommodation have been requested to contact the following helpline numbers:
- Yarui I: +91-9612744804
- Yarui II: +91-9862144506
The organisation stated that the helpline service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and appealed to all travellers encountering any form of distress while passing through Ukhrul and Kamjong to make use of the emergency assistance.
The advisory was issued by the Media Cell, Working Committee, Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL).
