Ukhrul, August 31, 2026: Hao Nutrition and Authentic Supplementary Store was officially opened at 5 p.m. today at the ground floor of Ambrose Building, Dungrei, Hungpung, Ukhrul, providing residents with a new local destination for authentic nutritional supplements and fitness-related products.
The opening programme was attended by L. Robert Meitei, proprietor of Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul, along with fitness enthusiasts and well-wishers from the local community.
The store is owned and operated by Osbert Hungchui, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, who has also successfully completed the Sports Nutrition Education Program (CSN) at Fitness Cravers Academy, New Delhi. His certification reflects his knowledge and training in sports nutrition and marks another important achievement in his professional journey in the fitness industry.
Speaking about the purpose behind opening the store, Hungchui said the initiative was aimed at addressing the difficulties faced by people in Ukhrul who have to travel to Imphal to purchase nutritional supplements. Travelling to Imphal can involve considerable time, transportation expenses and other costs, making it inconvenient for local consumers.
According to Hungchui, Hao Nutrition aims to make authentic nutritional supplements more easily accessible to people in Ukhrul. He said the products available at the store are offered at prices comparable to those in Imphal and online markets, giving customers a more convenient option to purchase supplements locally.
Emphasizing the wider purpose of the store, Hungchui said, “We cater not only to gym-goers but to everyone, including children.” He clarified that Hao Nutrition is not exclusively intended for gym-goers, bodybuilders or professional athletes, but aims to serve the wider community by offering nutritional products for people with different fitness and nutritional requirements.
The proprietor also stated that nutritional products suitable for children are available at the store, while emphasizing the importance of choosing supplements according to individual nutritional needs and using them appropriately.
The opening of Hao Nutrition comes amid growing interest in fitness, sports, personal training and nutrition among young people and the wider community in Ukhrul. With increasing awareness of health and physical fitness, access to authentic nutritional products within the district could help reduce the need for residents to travel to Imphal to source such products.
