Ukhrul, September 12: Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul’s M. Pihimas has won the bronze medal in the 55 kg category at the 2nd Mr. North East India Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2026, being held in Kohima, Nagaland.
Pihimas secured the third-place finish in the 55 kg category, bringing recognition to Ukhrul’s growing bodybuilding and fitness community at the regional-level championship.
He was among the seven athletes from Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul, selected to represent Manipur following the All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMMBA) trial held on August 30.
The other selected athletes are Worthan Lunglo and Lungreishim Kasar in the 60 kg category; Mishap Khapai and Ngashingpam Ragui in the 65 kg category; and Phila Yangya and Thuiling Muviah in the Women’s Model Physique category.
Pihimas’ bronze medal marks a significant achievement for Royal Gymnasium and adds to the growing presence of athletes from Ukhrul in competitive bodybuilding at the North Eastern regional level.
