Ukhrul, May 18 (DIO-IPR): Ukhrul district on Monday joined the rest of the nation in launching the nationwide Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign titled “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” at the DRDA Hall, Mini Secretariat, Hamleikhong.
The week-long campaign was formally flagged off by Asish Das, Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, and will continue till May 25.
Addressing the gathering during the launch programme, Asish Das urged the people of the district to make the best utilisation of the various opportunities and welfare initiatives provided by the government so as to derive maximum benefits from them.
Officials informed that the campaign will primarily focus on field contact, service saturation, health outreach and livelihood visibility. Efforts will also be made to extend all possible benefits under various schemes of the Government of India and the Government of Manipur to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) population during the campaign period.
The launch programme was attended by district-level officers and staff from various line departments across the district.
