Ukhrul, May 18: KTL Excel Higher Secondary School, Phungreitang East, Ukhrul, has announced a special admission offer for Class XI students for the academic session 2026–27, introducing free admissions, fee concessions and scholarship benefits for deserving and affected students.
According to an official notification issued by the school administration, students from villages affected by the ongoing situation will be granted 100 per cent free admission. To avail of the benefit, applicants are required to submit a recommendation letter from the concerned village headman or pastor, subject to terms and conditions set by the institution.
In another major relief measure, the school has announced a 50 per cent concession on admission fees for children from Tangkhul villages whose parents are unemployed or not engaged in any private or government sector employment. The concession will also be granted under specified terms and conditions.
The school has further continued its Meritorious Scholarship Scheme to reward academic excellence among students who appeared in the HSLC Examination 2026.
As per the scholarship criteria:
- Students securing 85 per cent and above in HSLC will receive 100 per cent free admission and tuition fees for both Class XI and XII.
- Students scoring 75 to 84 per cent will be entitled to 100 per cent free admission and tuition fees for Class XI.
- Those securing 71 to 74 per cent will receive 100 per cent free admission for Class XI.
- Students obtaining 65 to 70 per cent will be eligible for a ₹2,000 concession on admission fees.
The school informed that admission forms will be available from May 11 to May 30, 2026, while the admission process commenced from May 11 onwards. The last date for admission will depend on seat availability, and the new academic session is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026 (Monday).
