Ukhrul, May 10: Leishangthem Robert Meitei, Principal of Ukhrul Central School and proprietor of Royal Gymnasium, has successfully completed a Diploma in Child Psychology from Indian Counselling Services, securing an overall Grade “A” in all subjects. According to the grade sheet issued on May 6, 2026, Robert Meitei achieved excellent results in various areas including learning and development, observation and interview techniques, assignment completion, practical sessions, attendance, and group discussions. He secured Grade “A” with a value score of 4.0 in every subject.
Following his successful completion of the diploma course, Robert Meitei also announced a free counselling and educational support initiative for students affected by the ongoing unrest in several parts of Manipur. Speaking on the initiative, he stated that he has cleared examinations in Diploma, CBT, Clinical, and CPI (1/2) in counselling and is now willing to offer free counselling services every Saturday and Sunday for students. The counselling support will focus on issues related to substance abuse, behavioural problems, stress management, and sports career guidance. He clarified that the programme is exclusively meant for students and will be provided free of cost. Robert Meitei further informed that under Indian Counselling Services, 15 students from the Science stream and 10 students from Mathematics will be selected for free coaching classes during the 2026 academic session. He stated that the free coaching and counselling services are specially intended for students from affected areas currently facing difficult conditions in the Litan and Sinakeithei regions.
