Imphal, June 1: Shri Rajiv Singh formally relinquished charge as the Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur, on Sunday, bringing to a close his three-year tenure as the head of the State Police Force.



On the occasion, Rajiv Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Manipur, elected representatives, civil society organisations, and public leaders from both the hill and valley districts for their cooperation and support during his tenure.
He also conveyed his sincere appreciation to various security agencies, including the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Sashastra Seema Bal, and Central Industrial Security Force, along with other sister agencies, for their continued cooperation in maintaining peace, law and order, and security in the State.
Extending his best wishes to the incoming DGP, Rajiv Singh also conveyed his appreciation to all officers and personnel of the Manipur Police for their dedication and service. He expressed confidence that the force would continue to uphold its commitment to professionalism and public service while working towards the welfare and security of the people of Manipur.
His tenure witnessed several challenging phases in the State’s security landscape, during which the police force worked in coordination with central and state security agencies to address law-and-order concerns and maintain public safety.
