Imphal, May 25: Manipur Chief Minister Shri Yumnam Khemchand on Monday flagged off 477 new Manipur Police vehicles at the 1st Manipur Rifles Parade Ground, marking a major step towards strengthening policing infrastructure in the State.
The flagging-off ceremony was held in the presence of Home Minister Shri K. Govindas Singh, MLAs, Commissioner (Home), Director General of Police, and senior police officials.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the induction of the new vehicles would enhance the operational efficiency, mobility and responsiveness of Manipur Police in maintaining law and order across the State.

The new fleet is expected to help police personnel respond faster to emergencies, improve patrolling, strengthen security deployment and support law enforcement activities in both urban and remote areas.
The Chief Minister stated that the Government remains firmly committed to strengthening police infrastructure and ensuring the safety and security of every citizen.
Officials said the addition of 477 vehicles will provide a major boost to the police department at a time when effective mobility and quick response remain crucial for maintaining peace, public order and security in Manipur.
