Imphal, June 12: The Office of the District Election Officer (DEO), Imphal West District, has officially published the draft list of polling stations for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the electoral roll.
According to a notice issued by the DEO, the publication follows directives from the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, and the Election Commission regarding the rationalisation of polling stations. The qualifying date for the revision has been fixed as January 1, 2026.
The draft list covers polling stations across Mayang Imphal Assembly Constituency, including areas such as Thangmeiband, Uripok, Sagolband, Keishamthong, Singjamei, Sekmai, Lamsang, Konthoujam, Patsoi, Langthabal, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa, Wangoi and Mayang Imphal.
Election authorities stated that a copy of the draft list is available for public inspection at the office of the District Election Officer, Room No. G-15, 1st Floor, Lamphelpat, during office hours. The list can also be accessed online through the state election portal.
The DEO has invited suggestions and objections from political parties and the general public within seven days from the date of publication, as part of the process to ensure transparency and accuracy in the electoral roll ahead of future elections.
Officials said the rationalisation exercise aims to streamline polling station management and improve voter accessibility across the constituency.
