Ukhrul, July 20, 2026: A joint team of the Manipur Police and Delhi Police recovered four luxury vehicles, including three Toyota Fortuners and one Kia Seltos, during an extensive search operation conducted in and around Ukhrul town.
According to police, the operation was carried out on July 19 and 20, 2026, as part of an investigation into a First Information Report concerning stolen vehicles.
The joint police team conducted searches at several locations within the general area of Ukhrul town after receiving information regarding the suspected presence of vehicles linked to the case.
During the operation, the team successfully located and recovered the four vehicles. The recovered vehicles are believed to have been stolen or illegally transported and were reportedly connected to the ongoing investigation.
The vehicles were taken into police custody for verification of their registration numbers, chassis numbers, ownership documents and other relevant records.
Police are also examining how the vehicles reached Ukhrul and whether any individuals or organised networks were involved in transporting, concealing or disposing of stolen vehicles in the region.
Further investigation into the case is underway, and additional details are awaited from the police authorities.
