Hebron, July 19, 2026: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN/GPRN) has issued a clarification denying any association with four individuals reportedly detained by Indian security forces from Sharkaphung village under Litan Police Station in Ukhrul district.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Information and Publicity on Sunday, the organisation said the four individuals were reportedly detained on July 14, 2026. It categorically stated that none of them were members, associates or representatives of the NSCN/GPRN.
The individuals named in the clarification are Wungphayao Kasar, 24, son of Yurthan Kasar; A.S. Ninglum, 29, son of A.S. Hopeson; Yaoreingam Lungleng, 24, son of Makarmi Lungleng; and Vareiyo Lungleng, 56, son of Tuifa Lungleng.
“The NSCN has no association with the individuals reportedly detained by the Indian security forces,” the statement said, adding that the clarification was issued for the information of the general public.
The organisation further maintained that none of the four persons should be identified or represented as being connected with the NSCN/GPRN in any capacity.
The statement was issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity of the NSCN/GPRN from Hebron on July 19.
