Sinakeithei — The Sinakeithei Village Authority has reported an incident of armed intrusion near the village boundary on April 4, 2026, according to an incident report issued by its Media Cell.
As per the report, the incident occurred at around 9:00 AM when a group described as armed militants allegedly crossed into the southeastern boundary of Sinakeithei village through the Ihang River area and advanced close to a local lookout bunker.
The report states that village defenders fired a warning shot after the group came within earshot range of the southernmost bunker. It further claims that when the warning shot was answered, a brief exchange of fire followed before the armed group retreated across the river.
The village authority also stated that no civilians were present at the reported site during the incident and asserted that there were no nearby agricultural fields belonging to the opposing side in the area of occurrence.
In its statement, the authority said that village defenders remain on high alert amid ongoing tensions and reaffirmed a zero-tolerance approach toward unauthorized entry into village territory.
