Imphal, June 7: The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) has expressed appreciation to the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat for introducing online submission of application forms for its ongoing recruitment process following an appeal made by the council.
In a press communiqué issued on Saturday, TYCM stated that the Assembly Secretariat, through a notification dated June 6, 2026, has opened online submission of applications for the posts of Driver, Mali, Sweeper, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The online application window will remain open from midnight of June 8 to midnight of June 10, 2026.
The council conveyed its gratitude to the Hon’ble Speaker, officials of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat, and the Government of Manipur for responding positively to concerns raised regarding accessibility of recruitment processes for candidates residing in remote hill districts.
However, TYCM pointed out that the Department of Art and Culture is currently conducting recruitment for various contractual posts, including Grade-IV, Chowkidar, Sweeper, Peon, Book Man, Gallery Attendant, Gatekeeper, Mender, Dusting Bearer, Monument Attendant, and Attendant, through an offline application process. The council noted that no provision has yet been made for online submission of applications in the department’s recruitment drive.
According to the communiqué, many job aspirants from hill districts continue to face difficulties in collecting and submitting application forms due to the prevailing situation in the state, particularly disruptions in transportation services affecting several hill areas.
TYCM stated that it had earlier submitted representations to the Chief Secretary of Manipur, the Secretary of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, and the Chief Minister, urging the government to ensure the availability of application forms through online platforms and facilitate online submissions for all recruitment processes.
Reiterating its demand, the council strongly appealed to the Government of Manipur to adopt online application systems in all departments that have not yet implemented them. It also called for the provision of online entry of Employment Exchange Sponsoring Numbers to make recruitment processes more accessible and inclusive for job seekers across the state.
The statement was issued by the Media and Information Department, TYCM Headquarters.
