HEBRON, May 17: The NSCN/GPRN has categorically rejected and strongly condemned allegations and accusations made in a recent press statement issued by the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Delhi and NCR, asserting that the claims were “reckless, unverified, politically motivated and deliberately designed to provoke communal mistrust.”
In a detailed press statement issued through the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, the organisation reacted sharply to the statement released by the KSO Delhi and NCR on May 16, 2026, concerning recent developments and incidents in Manipur.

The NSCN/GPRN alleged that the narratives circulated by the Kuki student body attempted to falsely portray communities and organisations without lawful evidence or judicial findings, thereby deepening tensions among communities already affected by prolonged unrest in the state.
According to the statement, repeated attempts to selectively target communities, organisations and individuals through allegations lacking legal backing were “irresponsible and unacceptable.”
The organisation firmly denied any alleged association with terrorism, unlawful armed activities or organised criminal operations. It also rejected what it described as “false and malicious claims” allegedly aimed at demonising entire communities through sweeping accusations and misinformation.
The statement further accused certain groups of deliberately distorting facts for political propaganda and public manipulation, warning that such narratives could worsen the fragile law and order situation and create further divisions among communities.
Expressing serious concern, the NSCN/GPRN stated that sensitive incidents, communal sentiments and national security concerns were allegedly being exploited for divisive political objectives.
It called upon public platforms, student bodies and civil society organisations to act responsibly and maintain factual integrity instead of spreading narratives that could incite hostility, communal hatred and social unrest.
The organisation further stressed that no individual or organisation had the authority to pronounce guilt without following due process of law.
It maintained that baseless allegations against communities and groups without conclusive judicial determination amounted to defamation and incitement, while attempts to threaten political consequences or spread fear through provocative language were dangerous and harmful to democratic harmony.
Issuing a stern warning, the NSCN/GPRN demanded that the circulation of “false, defamatory, communal and inflammatory statements” against any community or organisation cease immediately.
The statement warned that repetition of such conduct could compel appropriate legal, constitutional and administrative actions under applicable national laws and regulations.
Appealing for restraint and balanced discourse, the organisation urged Indian authorities, civil society organisations, student unions and media institutions to avoid one-sided narratives and instead work collectively toward justice, peace and stability for all communities.
The statement was issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), NSCN/GPRN.
