Chandel, July 3, 2026: The Chandel Naga People’s Organisation (CNPO) has issued a public notice in connection with the ongoing economic blockade called by the United Naga Council (UNC), warning the public, business community and suppliers against the transportation and supply of essential commodities during the blockade period.
In the notice issued by the Media Cell of CNPO on July 3, the organisation stated that the transportation and supply of all essential commodities, including food items, medicines and fuel, shall be strictly prohibited during the period of the blockade.
The CNPO further warned that any person or group found violating the notice would be held solely responsible for the consequences and would face appropriate action by the authority concerned.
The organisation said the ongoing UNC economic blockade is being observed in connection with the killing of six Naga individuals and the demand for justice.
The notice appealed for strict compliance from the public, traders, transporters and suppliers during the blockade period.
