Ukhrul, July 2, 2026: Security forces comprising Manipur Police and the Army destroyed four bunkers in Ukhrul district on Thursday as part of security operations in vulnerable areas.
According to information received, two bunkers each were destroyed at Thoyee village/Mahadev Top and Jalenbung village under Litan Police Station in Ukhrul district on July 2, 2026.
The operation was carried out as part of continuing security measures to prevent any escalation of violence and to ensure peace and stability in the area. Security forces have been maintaining strict vigil in sensitive locations across the district following recent incidents and security concerns.
No casualty or arrest was reported in connection with the operation at the time of filing this report.
Authorities are expected to continue area domination and monitoring in vulnerable locations to maintain law and order.
